While doing that I heard the neighbor out mowing and saw him coming up the "alley" behind his house and Blondies. Waited on him and questioned him again about what product he uses to kill off the weeds and grass that he's so fond of. Brought me the Label. Called Eliminator Weed & Grass Killer Super Concentrate!! Found it at my local Wally World on line so added that to my list. I've got a few places that really are easier to just kill off the stuff than try to mow or weed eat it, so this should go the trick.
I'll get out later and take my powered sprayer apart and clean it up and test it. I can hang it off the back of Big John and hold the sprayer wand in hand and just idle around and spray as I go. ( beats walking & carrying that big ole spray container :-) )
Today or the next couple days will be a good time to do this. No rain in the forecast.

You remember the movie I'm sure .. Best Little Whore House in Texas? Well, it's based on a true story that happen in my life time. Fellow blogger
I remember full well the Houston TV channel and reporter Marvin Zindler's expo on that place and all the hubbub it stirred up. Link to Story
You probably have heard the ZZ TOP version of the song simply entitled La Grange
( No I never visited the place back in the 60's. Doesn't mean we didn't go look for it :-) )
Sun's UP, guess I'll toss the cats out and get moving ..
CYA Later.
Guess I'll go get big John out and git after the mowing.
Got the tires all aired up to correct pressure and started in. Stopped to talk with neighbor and we heard the most gawdawful noise. Looked up and it was a flock of Sand hill cranes headed north. They circled a time or two but didn't come in.Must be that time of year huh? Hummingbirds can't be far behind.
Noon Lunch break~~ Got started on the back yard area. Then I decided I needed to carry my weed be gone , found a pump type sprayer and tried it. Won't shut plumb off. No problem , had another so just swapped the top/pump out, works much better !!
Stopped to come eat and heard another flock of cranes . Never saw them, but they're diffidently moving into the area.

Good advice, that is why I didn't try to make you a good deal on my RV. It is better if I don't know who buys it, although it should make someone a great RV for quite a few years. Even has six new tires on it.
ReplyDeleteOne thing about vehicles...it's always something!
ReplyDeleteTake advantage of this good weather while it's here, cause you just never know about the Texas weather, right?
Going to VA today, so I will get my exercise walking the long distance from the parking area to the blood lab inside! That's always a good workout!
Have a great day!
Good luck at the VA Jim, taking a book with you?
DeleteAnd yea, IF this issue turns out to be the EXPENSIVE part I'll make a decision whether fix it or dump it.
Let me know how that weed killer works for you. Have not had any luck either with the vinegar and salt mixture or the boiling hot water on the poison ivy we have growing here.
ReplyDeleteWhich reminds me, I need to go buy me a weed eater this week before it gets totally out of hand.
