Is that the saying? Course this year all bets are off cause we ain't had no winter yer and they already had tornadoes back east somewhares.
Hell, it being Texas you never know that the weather's gonna do no how. So just grin and bear it I guess.

May just have to open up the windows after the sun gets up good.
Don't have anything pressing set for today yet.
First thing I did this morning was review all the witty stuff I had typed up yesterday on my someday number one best selling historical/fiction novel. :-)
( NO, I can't find the original part that has the first 12 chapters ) I have no idea why I don't have that part of it. I went through file cabinets, ole computer files saved from old computers , it's no where to be found. Now it "maybe" on some ole 3' floppy disk but I ain't go nuthing to read those with even if I could find them. So that's out..
Now going to worry about it.
One of the first things I was this morning just cracked me up and serves to prove the ole adage, " there's a sucker born every minute"
Take a look at this offering from Woot. Knives?
Ain't that ridiculous?
Shoot I wonder if I could get my mower blades with a pattern like that?
Dang it! I can't think of a dang thing to post about to day.
Wonder if they call that Boggers Block. instead of Writers Block?
Maybe gag my pills down and get more coffee will help?
9AMish. Got breakfast all outta the way and while eating, my brain/memory kicked in. I remembered I got a big ole storage device in there where the office used to be. Remember I took that whole office out and cleaned up that room some?
So I grabbed that drive and plugged it in , it will use a USB ( ain't got a spare that size) so had to use ole school network cable.
Hit a brick wall!! That device was built before Windows 7 software and it won't allow me to connect to it.
Dug all around their website and didn't find an answer so sent tech support a message. Let's see if that does any good. :-)
IF I still had my hacking software tools it won't be a problem, but all that's ancient history.
Sunshine and calm outside so FINALLY convinced Basset to go out and guard the yard. Hope the robins don't gang up on her. :-)
Gonna see if I can find some trouble to get into. :-)
Clock struck NOON , just as I walked back in. Did ok on my run. Got the Home version of Agent Orange, RoundUP, so here after a bit I'll go take care of some places that got green stuff where I don't want it . Tried three different places for a simple USB male to male cable, forget that !!! Everyone of them to told me to try the other ons. Only mesteake I did make was browsing and playing with the new computers .. Good Gawd!! They sure are fancy. No! I didn't get one, just looking and thinking.
I hear lunch calling.. Talk at ya later.

Don't you have an old computer laying around somewhere that may still have an old OS on it?
ReplyDeleteYea, Diz, Got XP on the old one.. may just try that..
DeleteI'm starting to build up a supply of usable laptops and refurbished PCs to keep as spares...all working, of course!
ReplyDeleteBought my latest Dell off of Ebay for $78 with Windows XP on it, but I can get others with no OC for a lot less!
Figured it couldn't hurt to have some spares, just in case!
BTW, I think the old saying is "in like a lion, out like a lamb!"
Yea, Hermit on the March saying but I figered the reverse may just be true, no?
ReplyDeleteAnd I quit Ebay a long time ago. Had an issue with a seller and they won't even talk to me.
No biggie.
Snow rambled into our area, a tiny amount but people drive like crap here, so we don't do much..I take a bus to work and back quite a bargain at $27.00 per month anywhere in the county and across the bridge to Oregon..I can only imagine Hood River and all the snow up there, but know the people will still go to your daughter's bagel place, they love it and we have visited it and love it tooooo! have a great day almost the weekend, oh, how we would love your dry and warm weather it would be fantastic the sun doesn't make much of an appearance here much at all but when it does it is glorius and humid, where your daughter has her bagel shop all the apples, pears, fruits and vegetables are grown and it is a lovely lovely place to be..near the Columbia river up in the elevations!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Anonymous. Told Daughter you had and she said for you to introduce yourself next time your in the shop. You might check with her , said she's going to teach some sort of Bagal class..
ReplyDeleteBeats me what, I thought you just sliced them open , put on your butter and eat em. :-)
It's 5:30 AM...and now I want a Bagel.!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care Ben...!!
