So, finally broke down and called AT&T. Jumped through the hoops, on hold for way longer than should have been waiting on a live person. Never got one BUT internet is back up. For now. So I'll make this quick just in case.

Wind is really kicking up out there. Blowing the grazing Robins around even. They are all out going over the fresh mowed yard looking for stuff I guess.
I was going to do a movie review/comparison but I'll get to that later once I find more info.
Right now I need iced Tea, this internet connection issue wore me out. :-)
I'll be back .... once I settle my frazzled nerves. :-)
Internet seems to be holding in so far. At least made it to 10 AM. :-) Got most of the trash gathered up ready to go out, and my lotto number picking ticket is laying there ready to go. After that think I gotta run down and pick up a couple of small items from my new store right up the street. Dry Cat food being the most important item :-)
Always been interested in the “what if” and to some extent the what if you lived in another time and are back again. Reincarnation I guess it’s called.
I “think” I lived during the time of the US War Between the States (there was nothing Civil about it) (My old Mississippi Grandmother refused to say the Civil War, she called it the War of Northern Aggression).
But anyway I know two movies that relate to that scenario
One is called Frequency (2000)
And another is The Lake House ( 2006)
The first is a good one, sort of a cop show. The second is a love story.
But both deal with time travel or I guess maybe time shifting really.
Watch them if you get the chance.
You ever have the feeling that you have lived in another time and have vague memories of it? Like maybe you travel somewhere and in the back of your mind/memory it seems familiar? But you know you’ve never been there. At least in your current lifetime.
I had that experience when I visited Vicksburg Mississippi for the first time.
The battle field and surroundings in town and the area just seemed familiar. I’ve been told that as a baby I was in Jackson Mississippi but don’t have memory of that other than a picture taken there of me, Mother and My fathers Mother.
For some reason Salt Lake Utah had a similar feeling. But to best of my knowledge none of any of my family or ancestors ever lived there.
That’s just where my mind wandered off to this morning early.
Yea, I know , I'm rambling:-) So I'll leave you alone and git moving.
Early afternoon. 2:30 Walked out to the barn to start the generator to charge up the battery and noticed a wind chime hanging out there. It had needed repair after it fell off the tree and I hit one of the pipes with the mower. I had made this one out of EMT.Had to be when I was at Grumman back 35 years ago? Hell I don't know how long. But I put a new holder ring on top of the mounting chains and hung it on the back porch.
Going to get noisy out there cause that makes 4 I got there. Two BIG ole long ones, and one shorter one made of polished aluminum and now this one.
I know exactly what you mean about the familiarity of certain places! I've felt it a time or two myself!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should check into getting a backup for when the AT&T stuff goes down again! Maybe something like Clear or GO!
Just a thought!
Frequency, if I remember correctly was about Ham Radio operator, right? I never saw the other one. If you are going to travel, you may consider an air card. Mine is a Verizon.
ReplyDeleteRight you are sir. Frequency, Got it last time from Netflix on CD , they don't have it on line for live play. Debating ordering cause time it comes in I'll have forgot what I ordered :-)
DeleteI'll look into the air card. But don't want to have to pay for something I won't use enough to justify the cost.
Del Rio Texas is a total dead zone for Verizon. Most of the west was better covered with Sprint in my experience.
