Didja watch the Grammy's last night? I had it on the big TV but mostly watched a movie feed on the computer. When someone I wanted to see came on, I'd turn the sound on TV and watch part. The beach Boys are looking waay old!!! And poor ole Glen Campbell is also. But he managed to get through his one song. And even the Boss himself Bruce Springsteen is showing his age. Tony Bennett is still hanging in. ;-)
That show and the music of today just doesn't appeal to me at all.
Not going to startle her, don't want her to knock anything off.
BTW, changing topic, If you're a war/history buff, WOOT has an offer you may want to check out.. America's War History. Yep, I'm thinking about it. :-)
Let's see, What else? Oh yea, saw a story about Women RVer's you might find interesting if you're in to that.
Today all I got on the list is call and make an appointment with a new Doc and I'm waiting on a call back from a message I left with another place. Works for me since I don't have anything else going on. :-)
And finally. About this not being able to post comments to Blogger . I dug around all over the internet and it appears that it is the result of a change to Google Blogger and NOT anything you or I have done. I'm not going to attempt to change my blogger program so I'll just wait till it clears up. IF you want to post a comment you can always get my email link from profile and send me a note from it.
MO Coffee and Be Back I bet ya but right now I got to check status of a UPS shipment.
Bit later now, breakfast burritto all finished up.. Good Stuff!!
I got a small grip, complaint or what ever you wannta call it. About Whitney Houston and her signature song. "I Will Always Love You". It wasn't hers first. Here's the story of that song and two music videos links.
The history of the song.
And an early recording of it by Dolly from 1974
And finally probably the version you remember from the Movie
OK, We all straight on this now? Good.
otherwise here, got .17" of rain here last 24 hours. most of it this morning.
Cat feeding time 3PM. Once that's outa the way gonna make me up some Spagatti and Ragu meat sauce AND I'm adding some more italian sausage to it. I like some MEAT In my sauce. :-)
So, you been notified. If ya coming by ,bring a loaf of hard crust Italian bread , OK ?
Later that evening, 7ish. Supper turned out OK , must have cause I ate all I cooked up. :-)
But , the extra Italian sausage didn't quite have the exact taste I was expecting. Got package out and read it.. It ain't real meat!! It's Turkey sausage.. Grrrr..Had no depth or body taste to it .. Must have misread the package huh? Got to be more careful reading the labels huh?

I didn't watch the grammies or what ever they are called. I watched Hee-Haw instead. Now, let us see if this will post.
ReplyDeleteWhoopie!!! The internet gods allowed your comment today. and NO I didn't change a thing.
DeleteHee-Haw huh? "I'm a picking" "And I'm a grinning" :-)
Seems to work now...have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI always liked Dolly's version better anyway! Never been a real big fan of the Grammy awards!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link about Woot! I may have to go and check them out!
Me too Hermit about Dolly.
DeleteI haven't pulled the trigger on the Woot thing yet. But thinking real hard about it.
What a coincidence! I made mysef some spaget just before coming in to read this and I likes me a lot o' meat in my sauce, too. Not Ragu, tho... that stuff pisses me off.
ReplyDeleteI cook up a pound of Italian sausage that's in casings (5 pieces in the 1 lb. package) and slice it into chunks after it's cooked so I gets some big ol' chunks o' meat.
I ain't a gonna miss ol' Whitney Whatshername. Only time I ever paid attention to her was in that "Bodyguard" movie and only then 'cause it was a Kevin Costner flick.
Folks with addictions of one sort or another always seem to check out early and that's OK by me. Live yer life how ya wants, just don't expect me to grieve for ya when you're the cause of your own demise.
Paul, I use the Ragu cause I'm too lazy to make my own. Thanks for the tip on the sausage. I'll be more careful with my next choice.
DeleteAnd your preaching to the choir about Whatshername and her life style. :-)
