Dawned on me that this year is a leap year so we get an extra day this month. Duh!! Am I behind or what. :-)
Day like this I wish I had voice activated/controlled computer. Some time ago I had loaded in a program to control/use/operate your computer by talking to it. First one I set up was for the son of a friend. He was about 90% paralyzed from some accident but could move a couple of fingers on his right hand and talk. So we got him a new computer and loaded in a voice activated system. Course we/I had to test it, train it and then teach him how to use it. He got good with it.
Wish the new voice activated programs weren't so dang hard to set up. I'd love to have one I could dictate into . Main thing I would use it for is to recreate the first part of my book . I got everything beginning from Chapter 3 forward but need to redo the first part.
Anyone know of a GOOD program that will do that ? The ones I have looked at require hours of "training" the computer and then it seems to be hit or miss if it works right. And Don't work unless the room is totally quite.

Well, dang near 9AM and I found the voice to text software here on my computer!!! Part of Windows 7!! Going to take some training on my and it's part to get it to recognize my Texas slang pronouncing!! :-)

I got a program for Mom to be able to talk to her PC and type it out. Dragon Naturally Speaking is the name, but I warned her that it would take some training before it would work!
ReplyDeleteShe really was wanting it, so I got it for Christmas and naturally she hasn't tried it yet! Go figure!
Let me know how that program works out for you. I am still using Windows XP but didn't want to upgrade to Windows 7 unless I had to!
Will do Hermit, So far using the windows software , it works, but sure are a lot of commands you got to learn and it ain't perfect ,OR it can't understand my slang :-)
