Foggy Spring Morning. 2/14/12

Peeked out the kitchen window after I got the coffee pot started. Could just barely make out the street light across the back side road. It's that time of year I guess, but it seems early. Don't we normally get this fog stuff in March ?
But got to admit this winter ain't been normal by any means here.

Checked my TO-DO list and only two items I got written down. So, couple phone calls today and get it all cleared up. First will be to call and get  appointment with new doc before my pills run out. .   Hate having to take them but I sure got used to breathing so I  guess I'll make the call.

Talking head TV news people are of course doing their Valentines Day "feel good stories"  Wanna know my take on today?
It's nothing more than a way for two industries to build up their bank accounts for the start of the year. A little research found this info.There are  1,469 Candy and Confectionery Manufacturers Companies in the U.S.  and   over 30,000 florists in the US  .   So they use this day to sucker you into throwing money at them so they can make it through the rest of the year.

at least by the standards of the catholic church.

My final word on this while breakfast is cooking. 
Some of the talking heads on News today are still talking about what’shername  Houston killing herself.  So I got interested on how many rockers or entertainers in general had killed themselves with drugs or alcohol, either intentionally or accidentally by mixing the two.  So I did a search and had a hard time narrowing it down.

Near Noon  Dammed Rule changes and Doctors.   With the rules changes in SS payments to doctors I have had to find a new Doc since mine quit handling SS with all the BS paper work and the reduction in payments made by SS. !!!  Just the Government putting the screws to US ole farts who have paid all the money in over the years and now having the withdrawals cut back for even basic health care. BS!! That's what I and YOU paid that money in for back then..
Finally found one here and spent the last hour filling out forms online to take with me when I go for check up and to get my files transferred over from old Doc.

You know what?  I better go by and check on BOT since the mechanic hasn't called back to tell me if it's ready yet.  ( maybe the bill go so big he's afraid to call? ) I'll do that right now when I go to the PO ..

Early After noon..    dang, after the mail checking, ( nuthing) went to the mechanics to pick up BOT!!  Dang! He's making all his vacation money offa me!!  $400 plus later I'm good to go for a long time now. new oil and filter with some sort of magic diesel fuel injector cleaner, new fuel filter ( canister type), one serpentine belt and I'm good to go.  He did pull  the wheels and checked the brakes like I ask, said they good  EXCEPT who ever did them last time left one bolt off of one front wheel calpar  and it was just this close to coming loose!!!  God only knows what would have happen if it'd come loose in a stop~~~

So I'll sit here after some lunch and update the records on it and stick it in the file for future reference.
