Never Forget

Friday slipped up on me. Feb, 24, 12. Month almost gone, So's my propane.

First thing I'm gonna do this morning is call and have them come deliver my propane load I got stored over at their place.  Was thinking I could probably  hold off for a bit. But the cooler weather used up more. So I'm down to 25% so I'll just go head and call for delivery and it'll probably be Monday till they get out. Unless they have a truck scheduled in the area today.

Don't get me wrong it ain't gonna get bone chilling cold, just near freezing, but with a stiff north wind it'll of course feel colder.  Didn't I do good getting out yesterday and taking care of the stuff I wanted done  :-)

First thing this morning ( well, OK, coffee was first really. :-)  )
Hermit Jim found a link to some good information about an ugly Trojan Horse problem you might want to look into if you haven't already.  Jim's Info  I already checked my Trend Micro virus detection program and ran a scan, so I'm good.  But check yours just in case OK?

So two things caught my attention yesterday. First was I was watching a movie called Passion Fish
The female star I kept thinking I knew of her from something else..(she had a manner of speaking that caught my attention ) Found out who she is

She was the Indian Love interest of Kevin Costner in Dances With Wolves.   Good movie and I got it, may just watch it again, it's that good right up to till the end.

Another visual thing that caught my eye was a BAT!! I just happen to look over at the remote camera in the carport last evening just as a Bat swooped in . There is a Motion Sensitive light there and the wind will sometimes set it off. I’ve been seeing moths around it lately and guess the bat knew they were there as well..
Fine with me, I won’t mind having a colony of them to keep the flying critters down in summer time.  This is the area I saw him swoop into. Right over the truck in the light.
Bats don't bother me, we'd see them on occasion on the farm but the best place I ever experienced them was in Jamaica!!  We'd have meals outside under a palm thatched roof in an open dining area and the lighting would attach the bats . They'd swoop in under the shelter and grab moths and what not right at head level.

Another critter wandering around as well.  For some years there has been a big ole yellow male cat that makes his rounds but never have been able  to get near him. Last night watched ( in the cameras)  him sitting out by the AC unit. Then he wandered across the back porch and out through the car port where he sat and watched the kids on bicycles till they left and he went on off down across the road into the big drainage ditch.
Wonder where he lives full time?  I know some one takes car of him cause he's all fat and sleek looking. He ain't missing any meals for sure.  But he sure is leery  of me :-)

OK, Mo coffee and then figer out a way to incorporate some of the left overs from my big ole Mesican supper into breakfast this morning.  ( ummm, stuff jalapeno poppers copped , with refired beans and an over easy egg on a tortilla? )

Later that morning.....   Local TV news is all about the new high dollar Japanese pitcher that the Texas Rangers signed.  Yep!! Spring training started!! Won't be long till the season kicks off April 6 with a Home Game.. Nope , I won't be there, but I can watch it online if it  isn't broadcast on TV.   Of Course that thought brough to mind this song.
Put Me In Coach!
I know you don't care about it, But I do!! :-)

Mid morning cat count.  Lost track of Basset cause she wasn't in her normal chair , was afraid she slipped out back before I closed up the door.  Found her :-)   Patriotic Cat!

  1. I just love hearing about all the great sounding (and hopefully tasting) meals that you come up with. You should open a cafe.

  2. Shoot Dizzy if I did open one, you'd never come cause you only eat the sticks, leaves and grass healthy stuff. :-)
IF I did open one, each day would be one meal, different one each day, No choices,, you want it ,,eat it, if not come back tomorrow. :-)

  3. I gain a few pounds every time I read about one of your menus! They all sound so good, my tummy starts growling!

Pretty cool that you can watch the bats from inside! I like to see them around the area...means fewer mosquitoes!

    Take care, buddy!
