First news blip this morning was about a fireball/ meteor or something streaking across the sky here last evening.
DALLAS - Something strange and unusual shot across the Metroplex Wednesday night, leaving many people scratching their heads.
FOX 4 viewers began calling and emailing the station just after 8 p.m. to report an extremely bright light that zipped from west to east across the skyline.
Some people said the object had a long tail and that it appeared to fall apart. Others said they heard or felt an explosion as it passed.
Police, fire and weather officials all reported receiving a high volume of calls.
FOX 4 Meteorologist Dan Henry believes based on witness reports and information from the American Meteor Society that the object was a bolide. A bolide is a fireball or very bright meteor. It explodes often with visible fragmentation and sometimes a sonic boom, according to AMS.
Kevin Palivec in Hawley, Texas believes the same. His meteor detection cameras captured images of what he called a long-lasting and slow-moving fireball.
Beats me what ,, I didn't see it of course. :-)
I mentioned yesterday that I’d tell ya about the time wifie went fishing with me on the boat out in Galveston Bay.
Well, I can’t go into any detail without getting censored … so just this part.
She didn’t like fishing so went up front and made out the cushions to a full width laying area and took off as much of her swim suit as possible and started reading a book while soaking up the sun. Don’t think I caught a single fish that day..:-)
Have to end the story there..(Just let your mind work out the “rest of the story”)
Question about American Airlines and how the Union is telling them what they can and can’t do. Who the hell owns the airlines and who runs it? Just another reason I never have like Unions. They demand this that and the other and the company be dammed!
That just burns my buttocks like a 3 foot flame.
Talked to Buddy Jim down in Austin last evening. He's working on getting his web page up and running. Still in development but check it out HERE . His plan is, as I understand it, is to move down to some of his land he as accumulated over the years in Terligua Ranch area ( lives in Austin right now) . Anyway, what he is having issues with is posting his blog. So I suggested that he set up his blog on HIS domain the way he wants it to look and function. So we'll see if that works out for him. ( note to self, put MS Belinda in touch with him about land down that way) . Durning our chat he suggested that I get a webpage set up again.. Naw.. I plumb ass forgot all that how-to stuff, so I'll just stick with this here.
OK, mo coffee and pester the cats!
But first!! Here on my local"ForSale/Trade" Board a fellow has some coke collectables. If you're into that sort of thing, here is what he has.

Evening news time, 6PMish +/- Fed cats and tried a trick I thought I remembered how to do and it worked!! I took some of that big ole pot of soup and warmed me up enough for supper. When it was 'bout hot I took a ladle full and put it in the blender with some flour and pureed it to thick soupy looking stuff. Then I stirred that mess back into the pot and mixed it up real good. Let it simmer for a bit to thicken up and WALLY!!! Got stew!! Was soo good almost didn't warm up enough.

So, wine cooler and feet propping up time for sure.

Just one little comment...in your daughters video at the bagel shop how come she introduced herself as Autumn Woods? Thought she was married...had a kid...what gives?
ReplyDeleteShe decided to use that name. There is no law that says a woman must take her husbands name.
DeleteNo but if she changed it to his last name on the marriage license that is her legal name. Unless she did like I did and get a legal alias through the court.
DeleteWindy, different state, different laws. I don't care if she calls herself Rumpelstiltskin. I know who she is. :-)
DeleteI think my imagination is filling in all the details pretty good!
ReplyDeleteHeck, you should know better than to throw something like that out for us dirty ol' men to ponder!
I think it's wonderful that daughter has her own shop and I think she is fortunate to have such a loving Dad!
Happy Birthday to the daughter!
Hermit!!! Settle back, prop your feet up and take your blood pressure meds, you'll be alright.:-)
DeleteAnd yea, Daughter is a real winner.
Well glory be Ben, maybe the world is gonna come to an end this year. For the first time you and I are in total agreement about something! Ifn they was to completely disband all unions in the country, we would all be a lot bettor off. All they do is blackmail and extort the company they work for for more money and benefits. And they just don't give a damn if they drive the company out of business. They must be some of the dumbest dumb asses ever. Force the company to pay them more even if it means they are gonna lose their job and retirement benefits. If the company is out of line labor wise, then all somebody has to do is call any one of about a dozen government bureaucrats. Who needs unions, other than the union bosses that are just setting on their butts and making about four or five hundred thousand a year.
ReplyDeleteYou mean Bob, you never agreed with anything of mine up to now?
DeleteI'm Shocked!!! Shocked I say! :-)
