Good Wednesday Morning to you, or in German.. Gute Wednesday Morning, Sie

Don't know what brought that German translation thought on. But...
I checked and it really is Wednesday Jan. 11, 2012.  So what you got planned today?
Yea, me neither. :-)
Oh I will get my Lotto Ticket ( y'all be laughing out the other side of your mouth when I do hit it big!! ) :-)  HELL, the shock of winning will probably cause a stroke and I'll never get to spend any of it.

One thing today , I'm going to do a serous Fridge and Freezer clean out to set out with the trash!! I got some packages in there I think we could make penicillin out  of !!! One thing on the counter to toss is an aloe vera plant that didn't make it. I tried to rescue it from the barn when all that crap was moved, but it must have froze and gone without water too long. It's toast now... So toss it.

Weather won't stop me today from my appointed rounds  :-)

Hermit Jim this morning has a simple video in resistance and how it pays off. Git er done!!
And that of course reminded me of an OLD Frank Sinatra song.
( side bar.. I used to put a video box link to those songs, but one reader ask me to change to a simple link cause his slow internet took to long to load the graphics.  What say you? any problems opening links I put in? )

And now a shameless plug for Ken Burns.

I been watching lately a Ken Burns production called the War. On my Netflix instant play.  http://www.pbs.org/thewar/ it was a series that played on PBS but somehow I missed it when it first played. The series includes
EPISODE ONE: “A Necessary War”
EPISODE TWO: “When Things Get Tough”
EPISODE THREE: “A Deadly Calling”
EPISODE FOUR: “Pride of Our Nation”
EPISODE FIVE: “FUBAR”
EPISODE SIX: “The Ghost Front”
EPISODE SEVEN: “A World Without War”

Great series with battle scenes and home front scenes and interviews with some of the actual people involved. If you can’t get it on Netflix, do a search for it and I’m sure you can watch it free online, if you connection is fast enough.

Of course in the production there is some dubbed in audio. But the parts that really impressed (and surprised me) is the many scenes that were filmed in Color evidently with sound.
No holds bared on this production and it can be tough to watch at times, But if you want to see what your fathers, uncles or grandfathers experienced.. Watch it.
My Daddy wasn’t in this one because he was in a B-24 bombing Germany.

I was watching NCIS Los Angeles  with Linda Hunt First time I saw her was from the 1982  movie The Year of Living Dangerously where she played a young boy, Billy Kwan.

OK, Much More Coffee and a good breakfast cause I got on my list today to start a training program with Basset. She never has liked getting up in men' laps for some petting and loving on, she'll get up in a womans lap no problem.
So, gonna start working on her with treats, ear rubbing ,  lap rug, what ever till she losses her fear of what ever.

Dammed CAT!! :-)

Before that cuppa coffee.  I been ask again how to make a text phrase clickable.
OK.. two links for you to read up on. IF your that one that ask. :-)

or http://bloggerfordummies.blogspot.com/2006/03/how-to-make-clickable-link.html

Go head and play with it,, you can always change it, unless your using word press, then your screwed!!! :-)

Much later now!!!  4PM plus,  Whew I am slap ass wore out!!  Finally picked a spot to mount the last two cameras, INSIDE!!  Once I tested the location, had to screw them to the wall. Then the hard part was running the wires to make them as invisible as possible which was up along the cornice.  Didn't want to attempt the small nailing thingies or stables so  I decided to hot glue them up.. Got almost as much on me as I did on the wall and the wires.  But it is finished.. for now or untill I decide to move one.  Even rearranged the leads on the back of the monitor so it makes more sense  sequences wise. They switch in a more natural fashion now,  you know, back, side, front, car port. etc

Basset and Tiny thought it was all good fun trying to help...
BBL, still peeling melted hot glue off my fingers. :-)

  1. Good luck with the cat, they have a mind of their own. And, if there were no commercials, when would you have a chance to go to the bathroom? I don't know what I would do without the "freeze" button.

  2. Yep on the cat training, almost as hard as trying to herd cats. :-)

And as for bathroom breaks ,, that's what the "PAUSE" button is for of course. As you know us olde Furts can't make it with out a pause button. :-)

  3. Our cats adore my husband and sit willingly on his lap and also rub him and love on him so much, wouldn't you know it he is only really crazy for dogs, but the cats are growing on him..He is loving and tender to them and leaves them completely alone and boom they jump right up onto him...I think it is because he ignores them and is reading the newspaper and books and they sense he won't harm them in anyway shape or form, of course I feed, water and clean all the cat litter boxes out and have the treats always ready they rub up against me and purr like the dikens but really dote on my hubby, must be his peaceful loving ways, he thinks all creatures big and small need attention, & I sense they know that he drives mommy to get the goodies, litter, toys, & treats, they are damn smart animals and to me almost solitary doing their own thing, don't be surprised if you are just sitting down reading something or watching something and boom bassett will just leap up onto your lap..it could happen, have a great day and keep up the lotto venture, some fellow here bought one ticket for many years and he hit it big, only one ticket on Mondays for many years, he is laughing to the bank now..you could win too! just saying!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Ah...the joys of being a cat owner! Or should I say being owned by a cat?

They do march to the beat of their own drum!

Good luck with that training, buddy!

  5. What's the old saying Hermit? Trying to train a cat just frustrates you and irritates the cat? :-)
