So I sat this morning and went through every service record I have on it. going all the way back to when the previous owner bought it in 2001. Made a list to take to my mechanic for review. What I "think" needs to happen is a through going over from the air cleaner intake,to the exhaust. There is one item mentioned on several sites concerning cleaning a part called Exhaust Back Pressure sensor and tube, these can clog up with carbon buildup over time and cause a reduction in fuel economy. Sounds like a straight forward job to remove and clean it out. So, that's on the list for maybe today.
Weather "may" play a part in that happening.
37.2 °F
Clear
Windchill: 37 °F
Humidity: 79%
Wind: 3.0 mph from the ESE
Wind Gust: 4.0 mph
Visibility: 10.0 miles
Dew Point: 31 °F
Pressure: 30.07 in (Steady)
Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. East southeast wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
And I got to run up and get my drugs that are awaiting pick up and review the list. all with a wary eye on the radar.
Course all this is tentative, cause the Solar storm that is headed our way "may" wipe all electrical systems IF you believe the Doom Sayers on line spewing their doom and gloom. Solar Flares
Changing subjects , I remember as a kid on the farm seeing the airplanes flying over ,some from Carswell AFB and later from the Navel center north of us. ( actuality saw one crash one time)
What brought that to mind was this video of the first US Jet powered aircraft flight in 1942
Mo coffee..
Noon Thirty... Made it back from my drug pick up and store stop, beat the forecast rain anyway.
And here's one I got in an email. Dammed phone apps!!
5ISH PM,, fed the cats , once I got Tiny out from under the couch. Guess the heavy rain storm that moved through scared her. Got .59" in just a short time. Whoopie!!!!
Guess I'll warm me up some Buffalo wings and eat something cause that big ole salad I did for lunch didn't last long enough.

Concercing solar flares or CME's, the effects are more severe the further north you are. Glad I live south of you (grin).
ReplyDeleteYea, I actually did read up on it. Dizzy. but I'm not real concerned, YET!! :-)
DeleteWonder if all the solar flares have anything to do with our crazy weather both here and up north?
ReplyDeleteThen again, maybe I don't want to know!
Maybe Hermit, possible I guess. Call Al Gore and ask him. :-)
